Almost done: Arsenal agree £7.1m to complete transfer of star player

Reports emerged on Thursday that David Ospina had agreed personal terms to join Besiktas and all that was left was an agreement over a transfer fee for the player between Arsenal and the Turkish giants.

And now, according to emerging reports, Arsenal are demanding for the excess of £7million to allow the South-American shot-stopper leave.

Ospina arrived Arsenal from Nice in the summer of 2014 and his only shot at first team football was during the reign of Wojciech Szczesny as the keeper of Arsenal. Szczesny had a behavioral issue that did not go down well with Arsene Wenger and he lost his place in-between the sticks.

Ospina is currently on holidays but his agent revealed that several clubs have approached him for a deal for the netminder and it is widely reported that Besiktas are front-runners for his signature.
“David has a contract for two more years with Arsenal but there is an archer, so it can be a complete cycle and if there are no options in Europe, Boca is a great option because it is within the 10 largest teams of the world”. His agent revealed about two weeks ago.

Arsenal are definitely going to cash in on David Ospina but given the amount Liverpool sign on Alisson Becker, the Gunners are not expected to budge to a price below their valuation for Opina.

The 29-year-old star has laid bare his desire to quit Arsenal following the signing of Bernd Leno.
