Liverpool 21-year-old star subject of interest from Championship

The Welsh manager Tony Pulis’s Middlesbrough side are said to be interested in the Premier League Liverpool forward Sheyi Ojo.

According to a report in the British daily broadsheet newspaper The Daily Telegraph, Middlesbrough are interested in signing the Reds youngster.

The English side have made an inquiry over bringing Sheyi to the Riverside Stadium, as their manager looks to sharpen up his attack.

Ojo spent the previous season on loan at newly promoted side Fulham, and could be made obtainable by Jurgen Klopp again.

The striker would offer Middlesbrough trickery and pace, which could be crucial if the club are to lose Spain U21 star Adama Traore this summer.

Ojo faces another campaign in reserve if he is to remain at Liverpool, so a temporary spell at Middlesbrough could be good for his development.

Pulis’s club are among the favourites to gain promotion from the EFL Championship this campaign, with Boro possessing one of the strongest teams in the division.
