Man United keeping tabs with €50m-rated defensive rock

Man United keeping tabs with Leicester defender Harry Maguire. Portuguese manager keen to improve the Red Devils defence and his primary target is Maguire.

The 25-year-old appeared in this season and after an impressive campaign, he named in England squad for the World Cup. In Mundial, Harry scored an important goal against Sweden and also played perfectly in defence. Three Lions finish the competition on a fourth place and this was the best result for them.

England international joined Leicester from Hull in 2017 with a €14m deal. Harry is the main figure in defence and the Foxes keen to keep the player. He is contracted with Leicester until 2022 and his release clause is nearly €50m. Arsenal, Liverpool and Chelsea also interested to sign English centre-back and there is a real battle for the player. His price could increase during the summer.
Man United already signed Portuguese defender Diogo Dalot, Brazilian midfielder Fred and English shot-stopper Lee Grant in this transfer window. Red Devils heavily linked with Lazio midfielder Sergej Milinkovic-Savic but the deal isn’t done yet as Italian club demanded nearly €100m. Harry is a perfect option for Man United as they need high-class centre-back to strengthen their defence.
