Official, photo: Chelsea secure deal for second summer signing, player all smiles

Chelsea were late comers to the transfer window but by some standards, their business in the window has been spot on.

Veteran English goalkeeper Rob Green has signed  a one year deal with Chelsea, this is according to reports..

Apparently, Maurizio Sarri has been on the search for an experience goalkeeper, leading the Blues with a move for Pepe Reina.

Reina only joined AC Milan this summer in a bosman move but the Blues were said to be interested in the Spaniard before they opted to sign Green.
Green has transverse several clubs in England and he spent last season at Huddersfield, where he failed to get a single cameo in the Premier league.

He was released by Huddersfield Town and the Blues have offered him a one year deal, and he is expected to be back up for Thibaut Courtois and Willy Cabellero.

“It has been a whirlwind 24 hours,” Green said. “You are thinking about your career and where you want to go and then you get a phone call like this, and it is a short conversation.

Green has won 12 caps for England within his 20-years as a professional. He’s had spells with  Norwich, West Ham and Queens Park Rangers.
