According to Jean Sebastien, who marked himself as a French Football Journalist for France 24, he blew the horn on Fekir’s transfer to Anfield, claiming the French star will arrive at the club this summer.
He tweeted: “#Fekir will sign for #LFC on the 4th August.”
Liverpool were keen on signing the Lyon forward earlier this month and had matched his fee for his transfer.
But they later pulled the plugs on his deal after his medical report showed complications that could not be waved off by the club.
However, Liverpool is thought to have tabled another bid for the star, but this time below the Lyon’s asking price due to his persistent injury issues, a bid the French club quickly put down.
Before now, Fekir had held an interview with the club in a Red shirt, sending a huge wave of excitement amongst fans.
Presently, Lyon will not listen to offers from Anfield, and chances to sign the forward are already in the tunnel, it is understood.
While Jean Sebastien’s news is a ruse, meant to mislead the media, Reds fans, many, had wished they had Fekir in their ranks.
For some, they are hugely anticipating.

But there are others who are angered by the post.

Nevertheless, a return for the star looks unlikely to happen again this summer.
