Man United willing to sign UCL giants key man without triggering buy-out clause

Manchester United are prepared to switch their attention to Toni Kroos after giving up on landing his Real Madrid team-mate Gareth Bale, according to a report in the Spanish media.
The Spanish daily sports newspaper Diario AS, as cited by the Daily Express, is reporting that the Red Devils have called time on their reported pursuit of the Wales international.

The same article claims that Jose Mourinho is interested to add experienced Germany international Toni Kroos to the Red Devils squad ahead of the new EPL season.
According to the same story, the Red Devils are worried about Toni’s transfer fee given the World Cup winner has a £446 million (€500 million) release clause in his current Los Blancos contract.

Diario AS add that Toni is Mourinho’s number one target after Premier League giants were left frustrated in their pursuit of one-time Tottenham Hotspur winger Bale.

Indeed, the Welsh winger looks set to remain at Los Blancos following Portuguese superstar Cristiano Ronaldo’s move to Serie A giants Juventus.

The last campaign, in all competitions, Real Madrid’s prized asset made 43 appearances, netted 5 goals and provided 10 assists.
