Reports: Juventus CEO Could Replace Ivan Gazidis At Arsenal

Reports in Italy suggest that Juventus CEO Giuseppe Marotta could replace Ivan Gazidis at Arsenal.
Arsenal could soon be involved in a strange transfer merry-go-round with Serie A as the Gunners look to trade in their Chief Executive for another.

Ivan Gazidis is heading to AC Milan at the end of the month and in September it was announced that there will be a re-structuring at board level.

The Gunners moved Raul Sanllehi from the head of football relations to Head of Football while Vinai Venkatesham became the club’s Managing Director.
It was thought that these two men would merely be filling the void left by Ivan Gazidis which is why it was so surprising to see the Gunners linked with another Chief Executive.
Italian publication Rai Sports has claimed that Juventus CEO Giuseppe Marotta is a target for the Gunners and could soon join the club.
Marotta was reportedly the subject of interest from Milan just a few months ago but could now replace Gazidis at Arsenal.

The Italian has been credited with the club’s incredible transfer business in recent years, including the string of free transfers which have been completed.

It’s unclear how much truth is in these reports but the timing certainly is interesting. Just last weekend, Marotta announced that he will be stepping down from Juventus on 25 October, a week before Gazidis leaves for Milan. We’ll just have to wait and see.
