Jose Mourinho's touchline comments could be investigated by lip reader by FA

The Football Association may seek the advice of a lip reader and a linguistics expert as they continue to investigate Jose Mourinho's touchline comments, Sky Sports News understands.
Mourinho made a series of comments to camera as he headed towards the tunnel after Manchester United's 3-2 win over Newcastle on Saturday.

Some reports suggest his words included swearing in Portuguese.
Sky Sports News broke the story earlier this week that Mourinho was set to be investigated by the FA.
Should he be found by the FA to have used 'offensive, insulting or abusive language' he could face a touchline ban when he returns to his former club Chelsea for Manchester United's first game back after the international break.
Mourinho's position at United has come under increased scrutiny following rumours of strained relationships within the club.

United are eighth in the Premier League, seven points behind leaders Manchester City.

Among former players to comment on Manchester United's poor start to the season, Wayne Rooney believes Mourinho has become an "easy target" and has been used as a scapegoat.

Rooney was given a two-game ban in 2011 when he swore down the camera during Manchester United's win over West Ham.

Ryan Giggs ready when the opportunity arise at Old Trafford said Guillem Balague

Wales manager and Manchester United legend Ryan Giggs is currently preparing his side for Thursday night’s international friendly against Spain, while a Nations League showdown with the Republic of Ireland also looms large.
Giggs remains new to management after replacing Chris Coleman in the Wales hot seat.
But Guillem Balague thinks he is using Wales to prepare for a chance to return to his former club.
Jose Mourinho is currently under pressure to turn things around at United.
And Giggs, who won 13 Premier League titles during a stunning spell at Old Trafford, would be a popular name to replace the Portuguese tactician.

Balague told AS: “They [Wales] did well in the last European Championship of France 2016 with that style, but Ryan Giggs has decided that he is in the selection as if it were a job interview: it will be his way of teaching the world that he can train anyone, that his philosophy is offensive.
“Come on, when he plays, he will be ready to take the reigns of Manchester United, the club of his loves, in which he played all his life.
“The Wales team is back to play with four defenders behind, but with the sides very offensive, with the midfielders with a lot of energy and youth (next to Joe Allen, a very young Ethan Ampadu who, at 18, impressed against Ireland (4-1 ) and fell on his face against Denmark, near Ramsey, David Brooks or speedy Tom Lawrence).
“Actually Giggs is trying to play a small Manchester United but without the obligation to win, which is always the most complicated.

“That is why he will ask his people to be brave against Spain. Another thing is that it can be put into practice.”

Giggs, however, has distanced himself from the United job by backing Mourinho during this difficult period.

We guess he’s playing a safe hand.

Liverpool injury concern over key figure on international duty

Liverpool have reportedly been handed a fresh concern over Naby Keita after it was suggested that he trained alone while on international duty on Wednesday.
As noted by BBC Sport, the 23-year-old gave the Reds a scare after being stretchered off against Napoli in their Champions League clash last week.

While he was quickly given the all-clear after further tests were carried out, he even returned to action and played over 60 minutes against Manchester City last weekend.
The Guinea international has made 10 appearances for Liverpool since his summer arrival, and he remains a key figure for the Merseyside giants in terms of what he can offer the side which is something different to his teammates.
However, there is now seemingly fresh concern over his fitness, as seen in the tweet below, as it has been suggested that he didn’t train with the rest of the group while on international duty with Guinea on Wednesday.
Whether that was as a precaution or otherwise is unclear, but the fact that he trained away from the group is a concern in itself as it suggests that something isn’t quite right.
With that in mind, Klopp will undoubtedly be hoping that he returns to Merseyside without a fresh issue, and that he can soon get back to full fitness and have a positive influence on Liverpool on a consistent basis.
For now though, the Reds may well have to remain concerned over his fitness and injury issues, albeit the situation will no doubt become clearer when he returns to Melwood next week.

Napoli star was destiny to play for Liverpool according to Empoli president Fabrizio Corsi

Liverpool made serious moves to sign Piotr Zielinski from Udinese in 2016, on the back of his two impressive seasons on loan at Empoli.
Jurgen Klopp, the Liverpool manager, remains a fan of the 24-year-old Poland midfielder, who now plays for Serie A challengers Napoli.

The San Paolo club secured Zielinski’s services in August 2016, after months of speculation linking him with a move to the Reds.

Zielinski had starred in his two seasons with Empoli, helping the minnows secure their top flight status, under Maurizio Sarri in 2014/15 and Marco Giampaolo the following campaign.
He was regarded as one of the finest young midfielders in the European game around this time, and it is no surprise Liverpool were hoping to take him to Anfield.

Zielinski himself has revealed just how much Klopp wanted him on Merseyside that summer, with the pair even holding a meeting as talks between Liverpool and Udinese continued over reaching a deal.
However, no deal was reached, and Napoli convinced Zielinski that the San Paolo was the best place for him to continue his career.

As revealed by Fabrizio Corsi, the Empoli president, to Calciomercato: “He [Zielinski] was meant to play for Liverpool.
“When he came to Naples, he had that option, but they did really well to convince him.
“I have a few regrets regarding him. He was decisive for us, but I didn’t ask for a ransom. I was working with Udinese’s interests in mind, who then had an agreement with Naples.”

In the end Zielinski secured a switch to Naples, where he linked up with his former Empoli boss, Maurizio Sarri.

Who are the Liverpool best signing of the summer

Liverpool were one of the Premier League’s big spenders this summer, but who was their best signing of the summer?

Liverpool fell just short of silverware last season, and plenty would argue that the lack of squad depth is what really hurt them in Kiev.

Adam Lallana, who isn’t even a winger, was introduced when Mohamed Salah went off injured, and the midfield ranks were extremely thin after the injury to Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain.

Jürgen Klopp was clearly fully aware of this problem as he brought in two midfielders and the versatile Xherdan Shaqiri, but who were the best three signings of the summer according to fans?

Keep reading to find out…

3. Xherdan Shaqiri

The signing of Shaqiri went slightly under the radar due to the huge fees splashed out on the other three signings, but fans have been crying out for some depth on the wings.

The talented Swiss international set up two goals in his first Premier League start against Southampton, and his ability to play on both wings or as a number ten will be a huge boost over the busy festive period.

2. Naby Keita

Liverpool’s pursuit of Keita was quite bizarre, as the Reds had to wait a year for their newest prized asset. The Guinean international seems tailor-made for Jürgen Klopp’s system, but he has not exactly had the perfect start. The 23 year-old was sensational in the season opener against West Ham, but has been in and out of the team since then.

1. Alisson Becker

This shouldn’t come as too much of a surprise, as fans voted overwhelmingly in favour of Alisson as their signing of the summer. The Brazilian has conceded just three times in eight Premier League games, a rate that will see him concede just 14 goals if that continues for the full 38 games.

His speed, distribution skills, composure and incredible reflexes finally solve a problem that the Reds have had for over a decade.

Fabinho, who made the Champions League semi-final during his time with Monaco, did not make the cut, and you can view the full poll results down below…

AC Millan sign Manchester united and Liverpool target

AC MILAN have beaten Liverpool and Manchester United to the signature of Brazilian starlet Lucas Paqueta.

The Serie A giants have agreed to a £30million deal with Flamengo - the club Paqueta joined as a ten-year-old.
Paris Saint-Germain and Barcelona had also been in the running the 21-year-old midfield sensation, with Milan ultimately winning the race.

Paqueta has been on the books of Flamengo for 11 years and has earned two full Brazil caps in the process.

The midfielder will now join up with his San Siro team-mates in January subject to a medical.
While Milan have been something of a fading force in recent seasons, it's thought the club's sporting director Leonardo played a key role in beating Europe's elite to a deal.
Paqueta kicked off his first-team career at Flamengo in 2016 and has quickly become one of the hottest prospects in the country.

The star has now scored 17 goals in just 88 games from midfield and earned his first international cap from boss Tite earlier this year.

He made his Brazil bow against USA in New York in August, before also featuring in the game against El Salvador.

Paqueta is already Flamengo's top scorer this season with nine goals.

Man Utd and Chelsea fighting over AC Milan defender Rogmanoli

Manchester United and Chelsea are set to battle for the signature of AC Milan centre-back Alessio Rogmanoli.

The Italian has impressed with Milan over the past two seasons and was recently handed the captain's armband by manager Gennaro Gattuso.

With United struggling in the Premier League, Jose Mourinho is set to reiterate his desire to sign a centre-back in January when he meets with Ed Woodward this week.

Mourinho is still furious that the club didn't appease his demands for a centre-back in the summer and hopes Rogmanoli can fill the void.

It won't be that easy though, according to The Telegraph, who have claimed Chelsea boss Maurizio Sarri is also keen on the 23-year-old.

Sarri knows Rogmanoli well having come up against him whilst in charge of Napoli.
And with Gary Cahill out of contract at the end of the season and Andreas Christensen hinting an exit, Sarri is desperate for defensive reinforcements.

The feverous desire for Romagnoli's signature could set up an intense bidding war between the Premier League giants.

Manchester and Liverpool battle for signature of Arsenal midfielder maestro

According to reports, Manchester United are thinking about a move for want away Arsenal midfielder Aaron Ramsey in the January transfer window.

His current agreement with the gunners expires at the end of this campaign, which means he is allowed to speak with other teams from the 1st of January.

Contract talks between Arsenal and the Wales international broke down a month ago, as it was reported that the club took back a contract extension offer that was made available to the midfielder for many months.
And United are preparing to sign the midfielder for a very cheap price in the next transfer window according to the London Evening Standard.
They say that the main figures at the Emirates think that there is a good chance that United will try to take advantage of the current contract situation.
It is said that too teams like Liverpool, Inter Milan, AC Milan and Juventus are watching the situation closely, but the report states that the Arsenal star would prefer to stay in England since his family is based in London.
Ramsey is currently Arsenal’s longest serving player and he has been in fine form for Unai Emery so far this season, scoring in Arsenal’s 5-1 win over Fulham last weekend.

Manchester united Midfielder could still leave despite the club want him to stay at Old Trafford

Athletic Bilbao are prepared to make Ander Herrera the highest paid player at the club to convince Spaniard to quit Manchester United.
Spanish midfielder left the club in 2014 to join Red Devils in a deal worth £29 million but Herrera is out of contract at the end of the campaign.
The midfielder had hoped to stay at Manchester United but the Red Devils are yet to make him an offer and Ander will consider his options in January if his exile from the senior team continues.
According to the Daily Mail, Athletic Bilbao want to re-sign Herrera and are ready to make him the highest paid player at the club to return.
Athletic Bilbao were keen on signing Herrera the previous summer but Mourinho was reluctant to let Spaniard go as he had a shortage of midfielders because of the World Cup.
Herrera’s preference had been to stay at the club but like team-mate and close friend Juan Mata he is yet to be offered fresh terms.

England international Luke Shaw is in the same boat as the Spanish pair but Manchester United are keen on retaining in the left-back and will hold negotiations with his representatives over the New Year.

Liverpool locked in battle with EPL trio for Genoa Striker

Krzysztof Piatek is aware of La Liga giants Barcelona’s interest in him, with Liverpool, Manchester City and Tottenham Hotspur still keen on signing the starlet.
All three Premier League sides have regularly scouted the Genoa striker after already netting 13 times in just eight matches in all competitions so far this season.
It has been a blistering start to life in Italy for Krzysztof, who only joined the club from the Polish side Cracovia in the summer after bagging 21 goals in 36 outings in Poland’s top flight the previous term.
Despite paying just £3.5m to land him in the summer, the Rossoblu now rate the 23-year-old forward at around £30 million but that has not put off clubs from keeping a close eye on him.
And now Krzysztof Piatek has revealed that he has heard rumours that Ernesto Valverde’s side are among the sides keen on snapping him up.

He told Diario Sport: “I have heard that Barcelona want to sign me, but I do not believe it.”
“I did very well last season and felt I needed to move on and I have only been here for two months helping my team, but who knows what the situation will be next year.”

Van Dijk accepts Koeman blast: I know he care

Liverpool defender Virgil van Dijk says he has no problem with the public criticism of Holland coach Ronald Koeman.

Koeman hammered Van Dijk for the penalty he conceded in Sunday's 0-0 draw with Manchester City, having also produced a lapse in Holland's defeat to France.

Asked about Koeman confronting him at training about the incidents, Van Dijk told AD: "Of course I know our coach. So I thought: I will let him have his say and then I will start talking about it myself.
"I know he is keen on me.

"For example (at Southampton), we did passing exercises. So I could give nine balls well, but I would then make a final mistake, then I would hear from him.
"Others made many more mistakes. It taught me: as long as a trainer is working with you, it is a good sign.

"From the outside it is sometimes very easy to judge situations. But I also think that I should be able to play ninety minutes without mistakes."

Majority of Liverpool fans think the club should keep Nathaniel Clyne in January

Liverpool full-back Nathaniel Clyne is a January target for Leicester, but the majority of Liverpool fans that voted in our poll want Jurgen Klopp to keep the 27-year-old at the club according to The Daily Mirror.
The Reds have struggled with a lack of depth in their squad for the whole three years that Klopp has been at the club and that only began to change this summer as the Reds spent big in the transfer market. Despite this though it isn’t a big-money signing that is keeping Clyne out.
Academy graduate Trent Alexander-Arnold has been fantastic since his introduction to the side as Clyne missed most of last season with a back injury that required surgery. The 20-year-old has now cemented his place as first-choice, and Joe Gomez shifting from centre-back was the option Klopp took when resting Alexander-Arnold against Manchester City.

The Reds must keep Clyne around though, as he is a more than capable deputy and when fully fit he will push the Liverpool youngsters for a starting spot at Anfield.

Chelsea star has no plans to leave the club this summer

England international Danny Drinkwater does not appear to play a part in Italian manager Maurizio Sarri’s plans at Chelsea.
However, Englishman is in no urgent rush to secure a transfer away from Stamford Bridge, according to the Telegraph.

The England international star was put up for sale by the Blues in the summer transfer window as the club looked to trim the team of its fringe players.
However, no proposal presented itself to Danny, meaning that he was forced to stay put at Blues, enabling him the chance to fight for a place in Maurizio’s plans.
Despite this, Danny has been unable to truly influence Maurizio’s thinking since his appointment as the club’s boss, with the star yet to make it into the 18-man squad for matchdays.
Although he is not currently being given the opportunity to shine for the Blues, the Telegraph claims that he has not yet established a desire to move on, with the star prepared to hold out until the summer for a transfer.

It’s reported that former Leicester City player currently earns a wage of £100,000 a week with the Blues.

Arsenal face fierce battle with European giants for Borussia Dortmund young star.

Bundesliga outfit Borussia Dortmund youngster Jadon Sancho is at the centre of a £100m transfer tug-of-war, with five Premier League clubs including Arsenal reportedly interested according to reports.
The Die Borussen star has nine assists to his name already this campaign, despite appearing from the bench for the vast majority of his matches.
His form in Bundesliga has resulted in Gareth Southgate calling the 18-year-old ace up to the senior England squad for the UEFA Nations League matches against Croatia and Spain.
However, Jadon could be set to play his club football in Premier League as well.
According to a British tabloid newspaper The Sun, Arsenal, Manchester United, Liverpool, Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur are all thought to be keen on the ex-Manchester City teenager.
Although the Bundesliga club are bracing themselves for bids in the nine-figure region, they see Jadon as a long-term replacement for Barcelona player Ousmane Dembele – who left in 2017.

The U17 World Cup winner left City in the same summer in a bid to get regular playing time was instantly given the No.7 shirt at the Westfalenstadion.
