The Frenchman has revitalised his professional career since joining the Spanish club, where under new Arsenal manager Unai Emery, the La Liga side beat Liverpool to lift the Europa League in 2016.
In spite of the Gunners’ acquisition of one-time Lorient talented
midfielder Matteo Guendouzi and former Sampdoria defensive midfielder
Lucas Torreira, Unai Emery is set on improving his midfield with more
signings.
Steven’s first spell in England began in 2009 when Blackburn Rovers signed France international.
The midfielder would go on to make 86 matches for Rovers, before moving to Stoke City when Blackburn were relegated to the EFL Championship in 2012.
The previous term, in all competitions, Steven N’Zonzi made 44 matches, scored one goal and provided two assists.
