Done Deal: Rapid No.7 Snubs Liverpool Interest in Favour of PL Rivals

Tottenham Hotspur forward Son Heung-min has penned a new five-year deal with the North London club despite interest from direct Premier League rivals Liverpool and Manchester United.

The South Korea international forward has made the switch to Spurs from Bundesliga outfits Bayer Leverkusen back in 2015 and has since found back of the net 47 times across 140 appearances.
Son represented his country at the World Cup in Russia and now has linked up with his club-mates ahead of the pre-season tour in the USA.

Recent reports suggested that Man United and Liverpool are all interested in the 25-year-old forward, and could test the Spurs resolve with a bid.

The North London team said in a statement on their website that Son had agreed on a five-year deal.
Son has forged an excellent working relationship with Spurs superstar Harry Kane, founding back of the net 26 times across the last two seasons while the England international has notched 59 in the same period.

In a video tweet posted by Spurs, Son said: “I’m very happy to sign a new contract. I hope to see you this season at the new stadium.”
