Chelsea Belgian forward Eden Hazard has suggested that he could
depart from the west London club this summer after his country secured
third place at the World Cup.
The technically gifted attacker also confirmed that his preferred
destination would be La Liga giants Real Madrid, with the Spanish club
showing an interest in Belgium international for some time now.
Eden Hazard netted the second goal against England, securing his country’s best ever result at the World Cup.
However, speaking afterwards, Eden suggested that his future could be
away from the Blues, with Real Madrid rumoured to be interested in
landing the Belgian as perfect Cristiano Ronaldo replacement.
Eden said, via Kristof Terreur of HLN:
“After 6 wonderful years at Chelsea it might be time to discover
something different. Certainly after this World Cup. I can decide if I
want to stay or go, but Chelsea will make the final decision – if they
want to let me go. You know my preferred destination.”
Hazard has been connected with a move to the Spanish capital for some
time now, with the forward interested in a move to La Liga.
