Man United £70,000-a-week defender turned down approach from EPL rivals

Manchester United full-back Luke Shaw has rejected the opportunity to sign for Everton this transfer market, according to a report in the largest-selling British national newspaper The Sunday Times.
The 23-year-old star signed for the Red Devils four years ago, when he was considered as one of the best young defenders in the continent.

But, his promising career was disrupted by a terrible leg break back in 2015, and since then Luke has failed to live up to the hype and expectation.
Portuguese manager Jose Mourinho has been openly critical of Luke in the past, and he even accused Englishman of being overweight and lazy.

In fact, it is clear that Jose thinks little of Luke as he used him in just 13 matches the previous season. However, it looks like that Shaw would rather stay and fight for his spot than move to Merseyside.

The Premier League side are in need of a suitable left-back substitution for Leighton Baines as his career is reaching its twilight phase, but it looks like that Marco Silva is now going to have to continue his search somewhere else.
