Not Paqueta: Liverpool set their sights on technically gifted Brazilian star

Premier League trio Liverpool, Everton and Arsenal are all reportedly interested in landing Brazilian forward Bernard on a free transfer this transfer market.
Bernard is currently a free agent as a result of the expiration of his deal at the Ukrainian club Shakhtar Donetsk, where he spent five seasons and made more than 150 senior-team appearances.

The attacker is understood to be interested in a move to the EPL, and the Italian television channel Premium Sport states that he has rejected interest from Italian clubs to wait for an English club to make their move.
Liverpool are among the interested clubs despite recently having signed Swiss forward Xherdan Shaqiri, while Arsenal boss Emery could see Bernard as a good variant to improve his squad while working within a tight budget.

New Everton coach Marco Silva has also been registered an interest in the 25-year-old star, who has won 14 caps for his country but has not played for Brazil since 2014.

The last campaign, in all competitions (Premier Liga, Champions League, Premier Liga – Meisterrunde, Ukrainian Super Cup, Ukrainian Cup), Bernard made 29 matches, netted ten goals and provided four assists.
