Chelsea in advanced talks with North American starlet

Chelsea keeping tabs with Bayer Leverkusen forward Leon Bailey and planning to sign him during the next summer. Blues new manager Maurizio Sarri started to rebuild the club and made several changes. Italian coach now wants to improve the front-line and his primary target is Jamaica international who had a great season in Bundesliga and paid big clubs attention.
Arsenal also keen to sign him and there will be a real battle for the player.

Leon joined the German club from Genk in 2017 with a £12m deal. Despite his first season in Bundesliga, Bailey amazed everyone with his playing style. He played 34 games, scored 12 goals and made 6 assists in all competition. This is a fantastic result and he can improve his consequences in this campaign. Jamaican forward is contracted with Leverkusen until 2022 and his release clause is nearly £45m.
His price could increase and become much more during this season. Blues will do everything to sign him as Pedro and Willian already up to 30 and they need replacement. The 21-year-old is the best option in this situation as he will suit the club easily. London club will make an offer next summer when the transfer window opens again.
