Juventus star WILL play against Man Utd despite red card - Scholes

Ronaldo was given a straight red card for appearing to pull Valencia defender Jeison Murillo's hair.
And if UEFA rule that it was violent conduct by the 33-year-old they could extend his ban to two or three matches.

That would mean Ronaldo could miss the first clash with Manchester United at Old Trafford on October 23.

And if suspended for three matches he would also be forced out of the tie on November 7 in Turin.
Ronaldo left the field in tears last night but Juventus were still able to go on and record a 2-0 victory.
On first viewing, BT Sport host Gary Lineker and Scholes believe the officials made the right decision though.

“It’s a tough one to appeal,” ex-England striker Lineker said.
“He’s clearly tugged his hair, he’s kicked out.”

Scholes agreed, explaining: “It looks like he has a couple of nibbles at him. It looks like he had a kick at first and possibly swung an elbow.
“A little kick there and he raises his left elbow there. It’s difficult and like you say if that goes to appeal I think he will struggle.”

But Rio Ferdinand thinks Juventus will definitely appeal the red card.
“It’s hard to see,” the former United centre-back said.

“I’m sure that Cristiano and Juventus will appeal that.
“With the emotion you can see coming out here, he’s going back to Old Trafford, he’ll miss that game. He wants to play football, you can see that.”

But Scholes believes Ronaldo will only receive a one match ban and will only miss the clash with Young Boys in two weeks.
“It’s a one game ban,” Scholes said.
That would mean Ronaldo would be available to face his former side at Old Trafford.
