Dutch striker spoke about move to Man United

Former Manchester United player Memphis Depay has suggested that he would be open to a return to Old Trafford in the future.
The Dutch international was sold to Lyon in the 2017 January transfer window for an initial £16m, but speaking in Manchester ahead of the French club’s Champions League match against City, he said:
“I still speak with lads from United and I wish everybody the best and you never know what happens in the future, I just want to level up my game with Lyon and bring them to a higher game.”
United reportedly have a buyback clause of £35m on Depay enabling the club to bring the player back to the Premier League if they choose to do so.

During his time at Lyon, the winger’s form has certainly improved. In the second half of the 2016/17 campaign, he scored five goals and provided eight assists in 17 league appearances.
Last season, his performances went to another level with 22 goals and 17 assists in 51 matches. He finished the 2017/18 Ligue One campaign with a remarkable run of 10 goals and seven assists in his final nine games.

It is a stark contrast to his two and a half years at United where he managed just seven goals in all competitions.
