Fabregas, who joined Chelsea from Barcelona in the summer of 2014, made 49 appearances in all competitions for the Blues during the 2017-18 campaign.
The central midfielder has missed all four of Chelsea’s Premier League matches this season with a minor knee problem, however, and his future under new Blues boss Maurizio Sarri is said to be unclear.
AC Milan were linked with a move for the Spaniard earlier this month, but according to the Daily Express, Inter are also now in the hunt, with Fabregas’s contract due to expire at the end of the season.
The 31-year-old has made over 180 appearances for Chelsea since his arrival from Barcelona.
Meanwhile, Chelsea and ManUnited are reportedly weighing up a move for Arsenal midfielder Aaron Ramsey.
Ramsey is in the final year of his contract at the Emirates Stadium and would be available on a free transfer next summer – or potentially for a cut price in January – if no new deal is agreed with the club.
Arsenal have offered the Wales international fresh terms, but Ramsey is yet to put pen to paper and the Gunners are reportedly growing more concerned that he could leave.
The Mirror reports that Arsenal’s Premier League rivals Chelsea and Manchester United are keeping tabs on the situation with one eye on a potential swoop for the 27-year-old.
