Manchester United Target Will Sign A New Deal With The Premier League Giants

Chelsea ace was pursued by United but the club will reward him with a new deal for standing by.

The Blues are all set to hand Brazilian winger Willian a massive pay rise with a new two-year contract. He was ready to quit the club because of Antonio Conte’s presence and United was keen to snap him. However, the appointment of Maurizio Sarri meant that Willian was happy to stay put and will now be rewarded with a new deal soon.

Chelsea has a strict policy of renewing contracts of players above the age of 30. They will, however, bend the rules for Willian who snubbed interest from the Reds. The Brazil international turned 30 eight days ago, but will still be offered a two-year deal against the traditional one-year extension policy for older players.

Willian To Sign New Lucrative Deal With Chelsea

The Londoners are willing to offer their winger a pay rise due to his loyalty and commitment. He has been at Chelsea for five years and shows no signs of slowing down on the pitch. The club has duly noted these terms, and are thus eager to tie down their star man. He has two years remaining on his contract which is worth around £120,000-a-week.

Willian will put pen to paper in the forthcoming days, thus ending United’s hopes of landing him. Indeed, Jose Mourinho was eager to reunite with a player he signed during his stint with the Blues. Barcelona was also monitoring the situation as his relationship with Conte deteriorated.

The Brazilian winger revealed last week that he would have quit the club if Conte would not have been sacked. With a new tactician at the helm, Willian is more than happy to continue with Chelsea.
