Official: Maurizio Sarri confirms €120m-rated midfielder will play for Chelsea this season

Chelsea manager Maurizio Sarri has revealed that Eden Hazard will continue to be a Chelsea player after the close of the transfer window this summer, per reports.

The transfer window of the Premier league has been shut for signing of player but clubs can still sell until the window is shut across Europe on the last day of this month.

Hazard has two more years left on his current contract but he has stalled over signing a new deal with Chelsea  and he has been heavily linked with a move to Real Madrid and Barcelona this summer.

Courtois switched Stamford Bridge for the Santiago Bernbeu and he had called on Hazard to follow suit. Nonetheless, the Belgian playmaker has stayed put with Chelsea and he has not suggested that he wants to call time on his spell with them.
Speaking ahead of Chelsea’s crunch tie with Arsenal, Sarri was quizzed about Hazard’s transfer situation and he said: “I have spoken to him very often in the last 10 days, but he has never said to me anything about this. So I am sure that Eden will be with us for this season.”

Hazard featured in Chelsea’s league opener against Huddersfield Town and he provided an assist for Pedro.

However, there are concerns that he has been rushed into action after resuming late due to his participation at the World Cup. Sarri was further asked how Chelsea will manage Hazard following an injury to his compatriot De Bruyne

“I don’t know. I haven’t seen the injury of De Bruyne. I don’t know.

“But, at this level, players play a lot of games in the season, so I think for them it’s very dangerous.”.. Sarri replied.

Hazard is currently valued at 120,00 Mill. € according to transfermarkt.
