Perez officially tells Arsenal and Man United they can sign Modric this summer for £668 million

Real Madrid President has told the likes of Arsenal and Manchester United they must pay £668 million to sign Luka Modric this summer.

The little Croatian star was instrumental during the World Cup finals and was one of the main reasons why they reached the final, only to come up against a superior French side.

But there has been some speculation over the last few months that he could actually depart the club, as Madrid planned a summer overhaul and freshened up the side as they look to win the La Liga title back from Barcelona.
And both the Gunners and United have been linked with possible deals, as Unai Emery wanted to add one more world class midfielder to his squad, while Jose Mourinho is keen to find the perfect partner to sit next to Paul Pogba and Nemanja Matic.

But they would have to pay some silly money to land Modric as Perez is quoted in Marca this morning saying: “The only possibility that Modric leaves is by paying 750m euros.”

Modric is arguably one of the best midfielders in world football and still makes the game look very easy, despite the fact he is coming to the end of his top-level football playing days.

It is a hands off warning to chasing clubs who want Modric, as Madrid have barely done any business this summer and cannot afford to lose both Cristiano Ronaldo and Modric this summer.
