Chelsea 21-year-old defender could leave Blues on loan this summer

West Bromwich Albion are reportedly very interested in welcoming Chelsea defender Ola Aina to the Hawthorns on a loan deal, according to reports from the English media.
Peter O’Rourke of Football Insider states that the Baggies are interested in landing the right back after their move for Yeovil’s Tom James fell through at the medical stage.

Unlikely to be included in new Italian manager Maurizio Sarri’s plans this year, Ola has been expected to secure a temporary deal somewhere else.
The 21-year-old pacy right-back spent the previous season on loan at Championship club Hull City, making a hugely useful 44 appearances in the English second-tier.

A Nigerian international, Ola was also included in his nation’s preliminary World Cup team but did not make the final cut to take the roster to 23.

The full-back would join a West Bromwich Albion team who have been busy in the loan market, as Harvey Barnes’ arrival from Leicester City accompanies links to Manchester City’s Tosin Adarabioyo.

The last season, in all competitions (Championship, FA Cup), the young defender made 46 appearances, netted 1 goal and provided 3 assists.
