Chelsea ‘have reached agreement’ with Juventus to sign £36 million Italian International Rugani

There has been some fresh reports which have claimed Chelsea have finally reached an agreement with Juventus for defender Daniele Rugani.

After months of speculation, Antonio Conte was finally let go by the Chelsea hierarchy and replaced by former Napoli coach Maurizio Sarri, who arrives with a big reputation in the game.

And the Italian is looking to get a number of key areas sorted out in the coming weeks, with the signings of Jorginho from Napoli and Rob Green two deals done in the last week.
And next on his shopping list is the name of Rugani, who is regarded as one of the finest defenders in world football and seemingly the top transfer target for Sarri after being priced out of moves for Tottenham star Toby Alderweireld and Napoli powerhouse Kalidou Koulibaly.

Reports on the Daily Star website have claimed Chelsea officials have flown out to Italy to finalise a £36 million move for Rugani, with Juventus keen to get top money for one of their rising stars.

But reports also claim the centre-back is undecided on whether he wants to move or not, despite both clubs agreeing a fee for a transfer deal.

It is expected Rugani would replace Brazilian defender David Luiz, who has struggled for game time over the past 12 months and has been linked with another big money move away from the club.
