Get the deal done! former Red Devils tells Man United to wrap up £75 million Maguire deal!

Former Manchester United defender Wes Brown has told Jose Mourinho to forget about Harry Maguires £75 million asking price, and get a transfer deal done.

Despite having a pretty ordinary season at Leicester last year, England manager Gareth Southgate saw something in the 25-year old that many didn’t, and made him an integral part of the starting eleven at the World Cup in Russia.

And he was rewarded with his decision to include Maguire in his squad, as the towering star featured in every world Cup fixture and looked very impressive in all of his outings.

And that has led to speculation Red Devils boss Jose Mourinho is ready to try and bring him to Old Trafford, but simply cant agree to the £75 million asking price.

But Brown doesn’t think his price should matter when it comes to signing him.

He said on the TalkSport website: “Maguire had a fantastic tournament and has been really good for Leicester since joining them from Hull. He’s shown that he can play on the world stage.

“That’s the sort of player Manchester United need. He knows the Premier League and knows what it’s about.

“I never talk about the money side of it because if a player will strengthen your team then the transfer fee is what it is. I don’t talk about the money. All I care about is whether he will be good for the team and he definitely would be a great signing.”

Maguire still has a lot to prove to be worth that kind of money, but it is just Leicester’s way of saying get lost we are not selling.


But if Maguire seriously wants a move to Old Trafford, he simply cannot be stopped.
