Chelsea transfer news! Superstar striker officially gets summer deal done and dusted!

Italian giants AC Milan have confirmed the signing of striker Chelsea transfer target Gonzalo Higuain on a season-long loan from Juventus.

The Argentine has been linked with a summer move to Chelsea, with reports new boss Maurizio Sarri was keen to add him to the Blues front line as a replacement for Alvaro Morata.

Despite his tender age, there has been some speculation Sarri has not been impressed with the work-rate and finishing ability of the Spanish star, and was reportedly ready to do some transfer business in the coming days.

However, 30-year-old Higuain has rejected any possibility that a move to Stamford Bridge could take place and has moved to the San Siro for the 2017-18 campaign, with defender Leonardo Bonucci part of the deal.

Reports on the Sky Sports website claim Milan will pay €18million to take Higuain for the season, with an option to then secure his signature on a permanent deal for €36m.

His departure from the club coincides with the arrival of Cristiano Ronaldo from Real Madrid, as the Italians needed to balance the wage books after the £105 million arrival of the Portuguese superstar.


The news will come as a bitter blow to Chelsea, who were reportedly ready to pay around £50 million to secure the services of the Argentine striker
