Done: Manager confirms star has left Liverpool

Liverpool youth trainer Neil Critchley reveals that he knew that prodigy Rhian Brewster would remain at the club this season. Brewster was the source of speculations a18-years for his contract elapsed at the end of last season as he was eligible to sign a professional deal.

This led to interest from several sides with German sides Borussia Dortmund and Borussia Monchengladbach making contact with Brewster’s representatives.  Howeve,r the 18 year old put paid to all doubts by signing a five-year deal to remain at Anfield.

Critchley speaking to ESPN claims that he knew that Brewster loves Liverpool and understood that the player would commit his future to the club. He also stated his delight in the club securing the highly rated youngster.

“I was delighted, I always thought he would sign,” he told ESPN. “I never thought there would be any danger of him leaving.
“I know how much he loves being at Liverpool. I know what the club and the people mean to him. I’m absolutely delighted that he’s decided to stay and sees his future at the football club.”

Brewster is viewed highly by Liverpool as many in the club view Brewster as the best next thing since the breakthrough of Micheal Owen 20 years ago.

Brewster was an integral member of the England u17 squad that won the world cup in 2017 finishing as the top scorer. He was promoted to the first team last season before an injury cut short his campaign and is expected to be back by the end of the year.


Liverpool fans are understandable delighted in retaining the youngster as hopes are that he is the future star of the Reds.
