European giants €135,000-a-week central defender targeted by Arsenal

Arsenal and Premier League rivals Manchester United are both reportedly interested in making late respective swoops for Bayern Munich central defender Jerome Boateng, according to reports from the German media.
The Germany international has been strongly linked with a transfer away from the Allianz Arena this summer, and according to states from Kicker, Unai Emery’s Arsenal have emerged as possible suitors.

Boateng has already been connected with a whole host of clubs across the continent’s top leagues, with Ligue 1 giants Paris Saint-Germain also believed to be interested in a summer deal for the player.
However, the Gunners are the latest side to be named as a possible destination for Boateng, who could be set to depart from Bayern Munich this summer.

The Bundesliga giants are well-stocked with alternatives in the centre of defence but are not willing to let the one-time Manchester City player leave for any less than a premium price.

According to states from Germany’s leading sports magazine Kicker, Die Roten’s management are ready to demand a sum worth at least €50 million for the experienced centre-back this summer.
