Man United target announces ‘I’m happy to be at Chelsea’ amid £60 million transfer talk

Manchester United target Willian has once again reiterated his desire to stay at Chelsea this summer, despite all the speculation surrounding his future.

Regarded as one of the best attacking midfielders in Stamford Bridge, there has been some speculation over the last six months that Willian is not happy at the Blues and would seek a move away from the club by August 9th.

That led to speculation the likes of United and Barcelona could make a move for his signature, with some reports even suggesting that offers have been placed by both clubs in a bid to win the race to a deal.
But after featuring for the first time under new boss Maurizio Sarri in the Community Shield loss to Manchester City, Willian insisted he was happy at Stamford Bridge.

He said on the Sky Sports website: ‘I’m happy here. I’m happy to be at Chelsea. I’m looking forward to playing well and winning titles.”

The news will be welcomed by many of Willian’s fans, who have been worried that Chelsea would let the Brazilian join United or Barcelona for the crazy money that has been speculated.

But Sarri is not Antonio Conte, and will give the Samba ace more game time over the next 12 months, so right now Willian has no need to leave the club as they will be challenging for pretty much every title this season.
