Man United to receive offer from Serie A giants for £60,000-a-week star

The Italian giants Napoli have reportedly decided to keep their interest in signing Manchester United versatile defender Matteo Darmian, according to reports in the British press.
The Premier League club are prepared to sell Darmian throughout the current transfer window, and the full-back is planning to return to Serie A.

Juventus had been the favourites to land the 28-year-old star, but according to the British daily middle-market tabloid newspaper The Daily Mail, it now appears that Partenopei are ready to secure the signing of the star.
The previous year’s top-flight runners-up are said to favour a loan deal, but the latest report states that a bid of £18 million will be made in the coming days.

Darmian has played an important role for Manchester United during their pre-campaign tour of the United States because of the injuries to Ecuador international Antonio Valencia and summer arrival Portuguese prodigy Diogo Dalot.

The Serie A giants’ problems in defence (Portuguese star Mario Rui’s instability, Algerian defender Faouzi Ghoulam’s injury) could lead the club’s management to seal reported deal for the 28-year-old Italian defender finally.
