Not Soyuncu: Arsenal keeping tabs on highly-rated Bundesliga centre-back

Arsenal are monitoring Bundesliga side Mainz defender Jean-Philippe Gbamin and have been in touch with the player, according to the French television channel RMC Sport as quoted by Get French Football News.
The new regulations on the transfer window indicate that the English window will this summer shut on August 9 ahead of the new Premier League campaign.

Get French Football News saw that French sports channel RMC Sport are reporting that an offer has been made for Gbamin by an English side. However, this club is not believed to be the Gunners.
The unknown club have tabled a whopping €35 million bid for the Mainz prized asset, but the German side turned down the offer as they trying to keep hold of their key man.

Sandro Schwarz’s Mainz are not believed to have directly reacted to the offer that has been tabled, with the 22-year-old star remaining much in-demand this summer.

The north London club are still keen to add to their squad, in spite of having already made five summer signings, and could look to lodge an official bid for Gbamin in the coming days.
