Not Pulisic: Chelsea dealt blow in their pursuit of Bundesliga promising ace

Bundesliga side Bayer Leverkusen are not interested in selling their prized asset Leon Bailey this summer, in spite of interest from Chelsea and the Italian giants Roma.
As reported by the sports radio station TalkSPORT, who quote reports in the Italian media, Heiko Herrlich’s Bayer Leverkusen are adamant that the star will be staying put.

Bailey has been a long-time target for Chelsea, who could be in the transfer market for a winger if either Willian or Eden Hazard leaves in the not too distant future.
The Jamaican-born attacker was one of the standout performers in the German top flight last season and is a player Chelsea have had on their radar for a while.

AS Roma were also said to be keen on a deal to sign Bailey after they missed out on Brazilian sensation Malcom, who snubbed a move to the Serie A giants to join Ernesto Valverde’s Barcelona at the last minute.

The 20-year-old star is under contract until 2022 with the Bundesliga club and is undoubtedly going to attract more attention in the coming months or years.
