Serie A giants in official negotiations with agent of reported Blues target

The Italian giants AC Milan have entered the race to land free agent Bernard and reportedly holding negotiations with the Brazilian attacker.
According to the Italian television channel Premium Sport, as quoted on Sports Mole, AC Milan will discuss a move for the one-time Shakhtar Donetsk star after his deal at the club expired.

The player’s representative is in Milan for negotiations with the San Siro club.
The Brazilian star has already drawn surprise connections with a move to Chelsea, with the Blues missing out on Russian attacking midfielder Aleksandr Golovin.

AC Milan are looking to wheel and deal in the transfer market after previous off-the-field worries involving Financial Fair Play regulations.

The 25-year-old scored ten times in all competitions the previous season and has a wealth of Champions League experience under his belt after his time in Ukraine.

Bernard spent five seasons at the Ukrainian club Shakhtar Donetsk after coming through the ranks at the Brazilian star Atletico Mineiro.

A host of clubs have been connected with moves for the Brazilian star, with West Ham United also touted as a potential destination.
