Serie A giants reportedly interested in landing Arsenal £36m-rated star

AS Roma are said to be making emergency plans in case they fail to sign Sevilla man Steven N’Zonzi, and Arsenal’s midfielder Granit Xhaka is reportedly among the alternatives under consideration.
The Serie A giants are intent on landing N’Zonzi from the Andalusian club but appear to be struggling to seal a deal with the La Liga outfit.

This has reportedly led them to consider other variants to the Frenchman, who has also been strongly linked with a return to the Premier League with the Gunners this summer.
According to the Spanish news outlet El Desmarque, as quoted by Calciomercato, Xhaka has been earmarked by AS Roma as a possible target should their pursuit of Steven collapse in the near future.
Xhaka only signed a fresh five-year deal this summer, therefore showing that Unai Emery regards him as an important component in his plans ahead of his debut season in English football.

However, it looks like AS Roma’s admiration of the midfielder is prevalent, with Switzerland international star among the options being considered by Italian manager Eusebio Di Francesco’s side.
