UCL giants planning to wrap up surprise deal for Liverpool £60,000-a-week star

La Liga giants Barcelona have been connected with a shock move for Liverpool keeper Simon Mignolet, according to sports television channel Sky Sports.
Simon has been booted down to third choice shot-stopper thanks to the new arrival of Brazilian star Alisson Becker from the Serie A giants AS Roma, after losing his place to Loris Karius.

Karius had a poor Champions League final, making errors that cost the Reds missing out a sixth European title.
However, Sky Sports report that Blaugrana could be in line for a swoop for the Belgian, amid rumours that Mignolet could be making a transfer to Turkey.

Besiktas made contact with the Reds over a move for Mignolet the previous week, but the Turkish side have yet to make an official offer for the Belgian shot-stopper.

Ernesto Valverde’s sid could, therefore, make a move for Simon, who has been at Liverpool since 2013 after signing for Anfield side from Sunderland.

The Belgian star was part of the Reds squad that came ever so close to clinching the EPL in 2015, only narrowly losing the trophy to Manchester City.
