“We Talk” – Player Fuels £75m Man Utd Move Reports After Confirming Mourinho Contact

Mourinho is keen to further strengthen his squad before the window shuts on Thursday evening and another attacker is on the agenda as Anthony Martial is pushing to leave Old Trafford after falling out with the Man Utd boss over the past 6 months.

The Mirror reported over the weekend that United are ready to approach Chelsea to offer them a swap deal involving Martial and Willian as Mourinho is prepared to trade the unsettled French international to sign one of his long-term targets.

Willian has been strongly linked with a move away from Stamford Bridge this summer and the newspaper says that with both he and Martial valued at around £75m, a sensational swap deal could be on the cards.

The Brazilian international publicly insists he’s content in west London but Willian has fuelled speculation of a move to Man Utd after hailing Mourinho as the best manager he’s worked with and confirming he’d love to work with him again in the future.

The 29-year-old also revealed that the pair have been in regular contact via text message and Willian claims Mourinho has held talks with his agent to make it clear he wants to take him to Old Trafford.
Willian is quoted by the Mirror as telling ESPN Brasil.
“Mourinho is the best manager I’ve ever worked with. We have a good relationship, we are friends.”
“Sometimes we talk, we text, we send messages to each other via WhatsApp. He is a great manager, I really enjoyed working with him. I hope I can work with him again someday.”
“Mourinho talks to my agent all the time, he says ‘bring him, bring him. He has never called me, but he always sends me text messages.”
Mourinho was the man to sign Willian during his time at Chelsea and the attacker proved to be an excellent signing having provided 44 goals and 39 assists in his 236 appearances to help the Blues win 2 Premier League titles and 3 domestic cups.

It’s clear the South American wants to work with Mourinho again and his comments will only spark further speculation that Willian could be heading to Manchester United before the window shuts later this week.Chelsea will no doubt be reluctant to lose him but they’ve shown in the past with the sales of Nemanja Matic and Juan Mata they will do business with United if the money is right, so Willian could become the latest player to swap Stamford Bridge for Old Trafford.
