£75m-rated silky forward hands transfer request to club to join Chelsea

Chelsea have been handed a boost in their bid to sign Ivorian international and Crystal Palace forward Wilfred Zaha after the player informed the London based Premier league club that he wants out.

Zaha, according to the Metro, is eyeing a move away from Palace and has wished to join FA Cup champions Chelsea this summer.

The Ivorian had a sizzling campaign for Palace last term. He’s been seen as the ideal replacement for winger Willian, who has been rumoured with an exit from Stamford Bridge.

London rivals Tottenham reportedly had joined the fray for the 25-year-old.
But Crystal Palace’s stupendous asking fee for the Ivorian is believed to have put off swelling interests for Zaha from the London outfit.

Palace slapped a whopping 75 million pounds on the Ivorian, discouraging Tottenham who understand his fee is behemoth.

Shrewd Chairman Daniel Levy will not submit that amount for Zaha, and Spurs will walk away from the negotiations.

Albeit disappointing for Spurs fans, this will be music to the ears of Chelsea faithfuls.
Chelsea have joined the fray for the forward. The Blues are closely monitoring his situation at the club and look set to pounce.

Amid interests for Zaha, club chief Roy Hodgson has rubbished media claims of his imminent departure from the club.

According to the former England boss, the player will not quit his role at the club and join former champions Chelsea this summer.
