Chelsea boss Maurizio Sarri ‘to hold Wilfried Zaha transfer meeting’

CHELSEA boss Maurizio Sarri is set to meet with club chiefs to discuss transfer targets ahead of Thursday’s deadline.

According to the Daily Mail, a potential swoop for Crystal Palace forward Wilfried Zaha will be at the top of the agenda.

The Chelsea power brokers will decide whether or not to pursue an 11th-hour move for Zaha.
Crystal Palace are demanding £70m for Zaha, who has snubbed an improved contract at Selhurst Park.

Chelsea have, so far, been unwilling to spend more than £30m plus players on loan.

Zaha is currently tied to the Eagles until the summer of 2022 on a deal worth £100,000-a-week.
But the 25-year-old has rejected an offer to boost his wages to £125,000-a-week.

He is reportedly open to a fresh challenge and has told pals he has an offer to leave the club.
Zaha is aware he can land a more financially-appealing contract at Chelsea, the Daily Mail claim.
Chelsea have made only two signings in the summer transfer window.

Jorginho arrived from Napoli at the same time as Sarri while former England goalkeeper Rob Green was snapped up on a free transfer last month.

Chelsea suffered a 2-0 defeat to Manchester City in the Community Shield at Wembley yesterday.
Sergio Aguero struck either side of the break to ensure Sarri suffered a losing start to his reign
