Manchester United versatile defender Timothy Fosu-Mensah is poised
to join the Bundesliga side Hertha Berlin on a season-long loan,
according to the Daily Mail.
Timothy, who spent the whole of the previous season with Crystal
Palace, has featured in three of Manchester United’s five pre-campaign
fixtures, including starting in the most recent 2-1 victory against Real
Madrid.
However, in spite of impressing against Real Madrid, the 20-year-old
star is now set to head to Germany and join up with firth-tier side
Hertha Berlin in search of regular playing time.
Fosu-Mensah made 24 matches for the Eagles the previous year and
helped Roy Hodgson’s side to safety after a poor start to the season and
was again linked with a return switch to Selhurst Park.
The Red
Devils boss Jose Mourinho is desperate to move various players out and
add to his squad ahead of the new term with multiple huge name signings.
Barcelona’s Yerry Mina, Leicester City’s Harry Maguire and Chelsea’s
Willian have all been strongly connected with a move to Manchester,
however, Timothy doesn’t look like he will be a part of Jose Mourinho’s
plans this season.
