New Premier League side Wolverhampton Wanderers have reportedly told
Super Lig giants Besiktas that they are willing to spend €18 million
(£16 million) on defender Domagoj Vida, according to reports in the
Turkish media.
The Croatian star has just starred for his country throughout the
World Cup, and the 29-year-old star’s performances have resulted
in alleged strong interest from a host of clubs across the continent and
especially from Premier League.
However, according to the Turkish daily newspaper
Sabah,
Nuno Espirito Santos’ Wolverhampton Wanderers are in pole position to
push through a reported deal for the star before the end of the summer
window.
The report suggests that Besiktas owner Fikret Orman will fly to
England this week in order to hold discussions with the West Midlands
outfit.
Vida only signed for the Istanbul-based club at the start
of 2018, but there have been states that the Turkish club are ready to
cash in on the January signing as soon as possible.
The last previous, in all competitions, the 29-year-old strong
defender made 36 appearances, netted 3 goals but failed to provide a
single assist.
