Juventus to join the race for Barcelona’s top Andres Iniesta replacement

Barcelona has suffered a big blow to their hopes of signing this superstar, with Juventus set to make a big and late offer for the Ligue 1 star.

The supreme maestro Andres Iniesta will always be remembered for his incredible part in one of international football’s greatest teams and for his role in making Barcelona the modern day giant that it is. He combined with the likes of Xavi Hernandez, Lionel Messi, David Villa and many others have been crucial to the La Liga giant’s dominance over the Spanish league in recent times.

Filling that gap, on the other hand, could be a task too much for Barcelona, despite the Catalan giants bringing in Philippe Coutinho and Arthur Melo to ease the loss.  However, that said manager Ernesto Valverde is certainly not happy and has decided to splurge a little further, targeting the likes of Adrien Rabiot, Marco Verratti, Steven N’Zonzi and many others as potential choices. But their first and main target is the PSG stars.

The former Manchester City youth star has less than a year left on his contract and thus would come considerably cheaper than usual. But while the La Liga giants have touted Marco Verratti as the long-term replacement, it seems that Adrien Rabiot’s frustration at PSG and his insistent of wanting to go on towards better things makes him the ideal target.

However, despite reports from ESPN and Football Espana, which revealed that the 23-year-old France international is close to signing a brand new and very lucrative contract with PSG. It seems that according to reports from Calciomercato, Juventus have joined the race for Rabiot. The Serie A giants are looking for a new central midfielder and have targeted the contract rebel as a potential target.

It further adds that the Old Lady are looking to make a late offer for the superstar, with the Serie A transfer window set to shut tomorrow. However, any offer they make will have to be a very lucrative one, with PSG reluctant to part with the 23 years old France international.
