Sarri opens up and makes Maradona claim on Chelsea’s superstar summer signing

Chelsea boss Maurizio Sarri has admitted new signing Jorginho is a ‘very good player’ but he is no Diego Maradona.

The Brazilian-born-Italian arrived at Stamford Bridge just a few days after Sarri was announced boss of Chelsea, and ended month of speculation about his next destination after admitting that he was ready to leave Napoli.

It was believed he was all set to sign for Premier League Champions Manchester City, with reports his agent was in Manchester to conclude a deal. But Jorginho then decided that he wanted to link-up with his former boss at Stamford Bridge and signed a nice big five-year deal to help the Italian in his quest to conquer the English game.

He has impressed in pre-season with his accurate passing and Sarri expects him to be a “useful” addition to the squad.
Speaking before the Community Shield, ex-Napoli boss Sarri said on the Daily Star website: “First of all, Jorginho is not Maradona.

“He is a good player, a technical player, who is quick with his mind.

“He will be very useful for the team – especially in this first period.”

With so much speculation about players arriving at the club, Jorginho was a great buy by the Italian as he adds some thing different and exciting to an already star-studded Chelsea squad and many will be hoping that he plays at the same kind of level which made him a superstar over in Italian football.
