England international Daniel Sturridge will remain a Liverpool player
next campaign as the Reds will tell any interested clubs in Premier
League that the Englishman is not available for a loan or a sale,
according to John Percy of the British daily broadsheet newspaper The
Telegraph.
Daniel, who spent the latter half of the previous season on loan at
the English club West Bromwich Albion, has looked fit and sharp in
pre-campaign and with Divock Origi and Danny Ings set to be sold this
transfer market, the 28-year-old star will be part of German coach
Jurgen Klopp’s plans.
Injuries have blighted Daniel Sturridge’s career at Anfield side but
there is no doubt about his quality when he’s healthy, and thus far in
pre-season, Daniel’s looked in very good shape.
With Liverpool unlikely to be making any more signings this transfer
window, Liverpool will go into the campaign with Brazil international
Roberto Firmino, English forward Dominic Solanke and Daniel Sturridge as
the club’s recognised strikers, while young star Rhian Brewster will
also join the fold when he returns from his injury.
