Man United in pole position to secure signature of EPL £120,000-a-week star

Manchester United have reportedly appeared as clear favourites to land Chelsea forward Willian this summer after the Spanish giants Barcelona agreed on a deal for is compatriot Malcom.
Blaugrana are understood to have seen a host of big-money bids turned down for Brazilian already throughout the current transfer window, the latest of which was worth a reported £65 million.

However, the Spanish club yesterday announced that they have agreed on a £37 million transfer for another Brazilian winger in Brazilian ace, hijacking the deal from AS Roma at the 11th hour to bring the former Bordeaux man to the Camp Nou.
Spanish newspaper Sport states that Barcelona moved for Malcom after being put off by the Blues’ £70m valuation of Willian, leaving the Red Devils as the most likely destination for Premier League star.

Brazilian is open to the idea of departing from Stamford Bridge after becoming frustrated by his lack of playing time last season, although new coach Maurizio Sarri has spoken of his wish to keep him at the club.

The 29-year-old star – who will turn 30 before the start of the new EPL season – has netted 44 goals in 236 appearances throughout his five-year stay at Chelsea.
