La Liga £68,000-a-week star appeared as surprise target for Man United

The Premier League giants Manchester United have reportedly entered the hunt to sign Barcelona central defender Yerry Mina this transfer market.
The Red Devils boss Jose Mourinho has made landing a new central defender his number one priority throughout the final weeks of the transfer market.

Leicester City’s defender Harry Maguire has been touted as one of the Red Devils’ main targets, but French outlet RMC reports that they have now registered an interest in Mina, who also shot to prominence throughout this summer’s World Cup in Russia.
Mina only joined Blaugrana in January, but he found senior-team football difficult to come by throughout the second half of last campaign and has subsequently been connected with a move away this summer.

The likes of Wolverhampton Wanderers and Everton have been expressed with interest in the 23-year-old star, while Ligue 1 side Lyon are understood to have made an official offer of £26.7 million for the Colombia international.

Yerry made just four starts for Blaugrana across all competitions last campaign but scored three goals in as many games during his country’s run to the last 16 of the World Cup.
