Chelsea stopper Jamal Blackman has reportedly undergone a medical
with Leeds United ahead of a summer move for a season-long loan deal.
The Championship team parted ways with Felix Wiedwald and Andy
Lonergan during the summer transfer window leaving Bailey
Peacock-Farrell as the sole first-team goalkeeper at the club.
Blackman came through the Blues youth system and made several
appearances for the England Under-19 side, however, has yet to make an
appearance for Chelsea’s first-team.
According to
Sky Sports News, the deal is all but done, with Chelsea ace having a medical with the Yorkshire side on Saturday.
Blackman has already had four loan spells away from London during his
career, having enjoyed stints with Sheffield United, Middlesbrough,
Ostersunds FK and Wycombe Wanderers.
Meanwhile, another Chelsea goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois is expected to
leave the team this summer with Real Madrid are interested to secure
the services of Belgium international stopper who has impressed at the
world-cup tournament in Russia.
Chelsea have made their first summer signing after the appointment of
Maurizio Sarri as Napoli midfielder Jorginho has arrived at Stamford
Bridge.
