Almost Done: Man United agreed terms with Premier League goalkeeper
Manchester United are
close signing Lee Grant from relegated Stoke City. The 35-year-old
played only three games in this season and Potters permit him to leave
the club and move to the Old Trafford on a free transfer, despite
goalkeeper contracted with the club until 2019. The former England
Under-21 goalkeeper will undergo a medical these days and in United, he
is expected to be number three shot-stopper.
David de Gea and Sergio Romero will the main goalkeepers for United and Grant will be given chances to play only in domestic cup matches. Joel Pereira is going to leave the Manchester and join another club on loan to get more experience and return to the club one year later. Clubs in Spanish and Italian clubs are interested in sign Pereira, who played only three senior games for United in six years at the club.
