Chelsea transfer news: Eden Hazard update as £170m Real Madrid agreement is denied

REAL MADRID have NOT yet agreed a fee of £170m with Chelsea for Eden Hazard.

But talks are ongoing over a transfer to the Bernabeu for the Belgium intentional.

Hazard shone at the World Cup this summer and has subsequently been lined up by Real for a move.
And reports in France have suggested the European champions have now agreed a deal with Chelsea.

However, Belgian journalist Kristof Terreur suggests those claims are premature.

He wrote on Twitter: “A colossal £170m transfer fee hasn’t been agreed with Chelsea as yet, despite one report in France.”

Terreur adds, though, that Real are still exploring a transfer for Hazard.

The club are said to have meetings planned to discuss moving forward for the 27-year-old.

And it is unclear whether Chelsea will ultimately give in over their star attacker.

Thibaut Courtois is also being pursued by Real, with a double swoop possible.

As the Premier League transfer window shuts in three weeks, Chelsea do not have long to line up a replacement for either.

Maurizio Sarri has so far brought in just midfielder Jorginho from Napoli.

Reports in Spain have claimed, though, that Nabil Fekir and Hirving Lozano are viewed as the most ideal successors to Hazard.
