Done deal: Man United confirm one more transfer ahead of pre-season games

The transfer window is gradually coming to a close – clubs in England will be unable to sign players at the start of the Premier league season but can only be involved in the outward transfer of players. While United have bolstered their squad already this term, they have confirmed the departure of Daley Blind to Dutch club Ajax, per reports.

Blind arrived Manchester United in the summer of 2014 and was immediately a mainstay in the squad of the Blues as he was deployed to the midfield and defense by Luis Van Gaal.

The appointment of Jose Mourinho in the summer of 2016 signaled the beginning of the end of his spell with the Red devils.

He has seen his stock reduced following the lack of game time – he managed only seven cameos in the Premier league last season and he knows he’d be unable to dislodge the likes of Ashley Young, Eric Bailly and Chris Smalling in Mourinho squad.

United will be paid an initial £14million which could potentially rise to £18million – this leaves United in a win win situation as it is given that they signed him for £13.4million.
