Eden Hazard has reached a verbal agreement to depart Stamford Bridge and join Real Madrid this summer, the Mirror reports.
Hazard has been keen to leave Chelsea this summer after the club failed to qualify for the Champions League next season.
The Belgian has already enjoyed a
successful World Cup with his national team this summer as he helped his
country to a third place finish.
After Belgium’s win against England in
the third-place playoff game, the 27-year-old admitted that he was
considering leaving Chelsea this summer.
After six wonderful years at Chelsea it might be time to discover something different.
Certainly after this World Cup. I can decide if I want to stay or go, but Chelsea will make the final decision – if they want to let me go. You know my preferred destination.
French outlet RMC Sport report
that an agreement has been reached for Hazard to join Real this summer
but that Chelsea are still yet to accept any offer for their star
player.
Hazard has two years left on his contract
at Stamford Bridge but is now looking increasingly likely to leave the
London club this summer.
