Here’s what Zlatan promised to David Beckham if Sweden win the quarterfinal: And Beckham’s reply is sheer brilliance
England are set to take on Sweden in the quarterfinals of the World Cup on Saturday and the fans will be hoping that the Three Lions can reach their first semi-final since 1990.
Before the match, a series of former players and pundits have chosen their favourite team with the likes of Sven Goran-Eriksson pitching for a Swedish win while most of the former England players are rooting for their home time.
But amongst all this, a certain Zlatan Ibrahimovic is making a different kind of statement – much like he always does.

But amongst all this, a certain Zlatan Ibrahimovic is making a different kind of statement – much like he always does.
Surely, the Sweden legend will be rooting for his country but before the game, he has chosen to make a deal with former England Legend David Beckham.
Apart from being rivals, Zlatan and Beckham go back a long way with the latter spending the twilight of his footballing career at PSG the same time when Zlatan was playing with the club.
And now the big Swede is playing for LA Galaxy in the MLS, a club where David Beckham has also spent some part of his footballing career.
Then, of course, there’s the famed Manchester United connection too.
So on Friday, Ibrahimovic sent out a tweet in which he offered David Beckham to buy dinner wherever he wanted – if England managed to secure a victory.
But if Sweden were to come out on top the former English winger will have to buy Zlatan whatever he wanted from IKEA.
Zlatan Ibrahimovic wrote: “Yo @davidbeckham if @England wins I buy you dinner where ever you want in the world, but if Sweden wins you buy me whatever I want from @IKEASverige ok?”
