Man Utd’s £70M transfer target drops huge Old Trafford transfer hint

Manchester United Target Toby Alderweireld has dropped a huge hint over his future according to English tabloid Daily Express.

The 29-year-old defender has been linked to the Old Trafford outfit throughout this summer transfer window. Alderweireld recently told reporters that he has his own idea on his future when quizzed about his future. The defender also admitted that his future would be decided by Tottenham as he still has two years remaining on his current contract with the club.

Mourinho has been in search for a new centre-back as he plans a title challenge next season. This has also intensified with the club announcing an agreement with Ajax to sell defender Daley Blind.
Argentine Marcos Rojo is also expected to leave United this summer while Lindelof has been linked with a move away from Old Trafford which could potentially create a vacuum in the defence.

This would leave only Phil Jones, Chris Smalling and Eric Bailey as the three senior centre-backs in the team.

Alderweireld has established himself as one of the top centre-backs in England since his move from Atletico Madrid in 2015. However, his stock at Tottenham has dropped since his well covered fallout with manager Pochettino.
Notwithstanding, Tottenham have proved tough negotiators by slapping a price tag of £70 million on the 29-year-old.

Alderweireld was impressive in the defence for Belgium at the World Cup, defeating England to finish 3rd position.
